Whether moving into your new home or still at your current home you don't have to be rich or wait until its time to sell to make your home spectacular.
There are easy steps that will make your home truly feel like 'Yours' and also it will look like all of those magazine and facebook adds that you have secretly wished you could only compare to.
1) PURGE - This is the hardest step but the most important. You need to look at things and ask yourself these questions: Do I love this item, does it bring it bring me joy? When was the last time I used/wore it? Do I need or want it? - if it doesn't bring you joy, you haven't used it, and you don't need it - then you need to purge it. Some things can be repurposed, donated, or if you can't bring yourself to get rid of it then you need storage.
2) Find focal point items for each room that you love. Sometimes saving money on furnishing and decor ends up costing more in the end when you have to replace them often. Also you will find that every room will bring you warmth. When you pick the items, or even color schemes then focus the room around them while avoiding clutter.
3) Buy or upcycle items into beautiful storage opportunities to eliminate the clutter that keeps your home from being that Homes and Garden add. The biggest issue we have in our home is MAIL. I realized that I had to come up with a drop basket that was cute for our mail- and I HAD TO GO THROUGH IT weekly and PURGE the crap (most of the time it was coupons that I swore I was going to use)
Ok well those are my three steps to "YOUR" home... Make your home in 123 with me
